03 / How we work

Every job starts as a drawing. Then we stick to it.

  1. Free site visit

    We come out, measure up, look under the house and talk through what you want and roughly what it should cost. No charge, no pressure.

    Usually within 7 days

  2. Fixed-price quote

    An itemised written quote: what's included, what isn't, and any provisional sums marked clearly. Jobs over $30,000 get a proper written contract.

    Within 10 working days

  3. Consents and dates

    We handle the council paperwork, lock in a start date and give you a programme that already allows for Southland weather.

  4. Build and handover

    A short update every Friday, a tidy site, and a final walk-through together. We come back at twelve months to check everything's still right.

Most of our work is within an hour of town, and there's no travel charge to anywhere on this list. We go further afield for bigger jobs: Te Anau, the Catlins and Stewart Island by arrangement.
